Eating Disorders

I am trained and experienced in working with individuals struggling with various types of eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) and other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED). My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's individual needs, as there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating eating disorders.

Through my experience working at an inpatient eating disorder treatment facility, I take a holistic approach to treatment and prefer to work alongside a dietician, psychiatrist and medical doctor to ensure you are getting the best care possible. My therapeutic approach integrates HAES (Health at Every Size) and Intuitive Eating to focus on improving your relationship with food and yourself.

I work with clients to develop a deeper understanding of their relationship with food and their body, and explore the underlying emotional and psychological factors contributing to their disordered eating. Together, we work on developing healthy coping mechanisms and developing a healthier relationship with food and body image.

I also understand that eating disorders often co-occur with other mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Therefore, I approach treatment with a holistic lens and work with clients to address all aspects of their mental health and wellness.

Overall, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals struggling with eating disorders to heal, grow, and achieve long-term recovery.
